معرفی
Dr Stacey Priestley is a Research Fellow at the University of Adelaide's School of Physics, Chemistry and Earth Sciences, within the Faculty of Sciences, Engineering and Technology. Her research focuses on applying environmental and isotopic tracers to investigate hydrological systems, particularly addressing water resources sustainability and environmental change. She is currently leading innovative isotope tracing studies in the Coorong lagoon system to understand nutrient sources and bio-geochemical pathways. Dr Priestley is eligible to supervise Masters and PhD students as a co-supervisor.
Her recent work includes a 2025 study on central Australian paleoclimate using clumped isotope analysis of mollusc shells, published in Quaternary Science Reviews. This research was supported by Australian Research Council grants DP180101913, FT230100648, and FT180100524. Dr Priestley collaborates widely, with contributions to interdisciplinary projects linking geochemistry and environmental science.
- Research Grants: ARC DP180101913, FT230100648, FT180100524
- Supervision: Current co-supervisor for Mr Fletcher Clancy Nixon (PhD candidate)
- Key Techniques: Clumped isotope analysis, isotopic tracing, lacustrine sediment analysis
Dr Priestley's work bridges fundamental geochemical research with applied environmental challenges, contributing critical data to understanding arid region hydrology and climate variability.
