Stacey A. Robinson is an Adjunct Professor at the Department of Biology, Carleton University, affiliated with Environment and Climate Change Canada at the National Wildlife Research Centre. Her research focuses on environmental toxicology, particularly the sub-lethal effects of pesticides and industrial chemicals on wildlife populations.
Her work investigates impacts of neonicotinoid insecticides and diquat herbicides on amphibians, herbivorous insects, farmland birds, and aquatic organisms, examining physiological stress markers, life history traits, and susceptibility to parasitism. She also develops passive sampling methods for pesticide detection in water systems.
Key research themes include:
- Biodiversity preservation through chemical risk assessment
- Monitoring agricultural and industrial toxin impacts
- Regulatory science for pest control and pharmaceuticals
- Development of novel environmental monitoring tools
