معرفی
Sravya Tekumalla is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Victoria. Her research focuses on advanced materials and additive manufacturing (3D printing), with applications in aerospace, automotive, biomedical, and electronics industries. She holds a Ph.D. from the National University of Singapore and has been a Presidential Postdoctoral Fellow at Nanyang Technological University and an Alexander von Humboldt Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Iron Research.
Her current research includes designing novel alloys for additive manufacturing, controlling microstructure and crystallographic textures, and studying multi-scale mechanical behaviors of metallic materials. She investigates processing-structure-property-performance relationships to optimize material performance. Recent projects involve texture control in AM alloys, in-situ nanocomposite synthesis, and aerospace-grade ignition-resistant materials.
Research opportunities are available for students with backgrounds in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields. She leads experimental and applied studies, emphasizing sustainable materials and recycling technologies. No specific awards are listed, but her work reflects active engagement with cutting-edge manufacturing challenges.
