Spyridon Kaprinis

Spyridon Kaprinis is a Senior Lecturer in Architecture at London South Bank University (LSBU) and holds concurrent teaching roles at the University of Huddersfield. He is a registered architect in Greece (TEE/TCG) with extensive industry experience at Zaha Hadid Architects and Andrew Phillips Ltd. His academic affiliations include LSBU’s School of The Built Environment and Architecture, where he teaches architectural design, parametric design, and digital tools like Rhino and AutoCAD.

Education: BA (Hons) Architecture (University of Westminster, 1999), AA Diploma/MArch (Architectural Association, 2002), MArch Urbanism (The Bartlett/UCL, 2006), and MArch Design (Architectural Association, 2010). Current PhD candidate at London South Bank University.

Research focuses on parametric design methodologies, urban interventions, and the synthesis of digital tools with architectural theory. Notable projects include the Dubai Opus Tower serviced apartments and competitions for landmark structures in China, UAE, and Europe. His creative work explores concepts of 'anatopism' (spatial transposition) through collages and AI-driven design experiments.

Teaching emphasizes digital fabrication, sustainable design practices, and the integration of advanced computational tools. Professional experience spans high-profile architectural projects involving 3D modeling (Maya/Rhino), BIM coordination, and leadership in cross-disciplinary teams.
