Sparkle Springfield is an Assistant Professor of Public Health Sciences at Loyola University Chicago’s Parkinson School of Health Sciences and Public Health. Her research focuses on improving diet quality and health outcomes in African American women through culturally tailored interventions. She holds a BS in Chemistry and Biology from Grambling State University and a PhD in Integrative Pathophysiology, Human Nutrition, and Health Promotion from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
