Soumya Sen

Soumya Sen is an Associate Professor at the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota, holding the 3M Fellow in Business Analytics and McKnight Presidential Fellowship. His academic journey includes a PhD in Electrical & Systems Engineering from University of Pennsylvania (2011), MS (2008), and B.E. (Hons.) from BITS Pilani (2005), followed by postdoctoral research at Princeton University (2013).

Research Interests span Internet economics, digital communication systems, and data analytics for societal good. His multidisciplinary approach combines computer networks, economics, and human-computer interaction. Key focus areas include smart data pricing, bandwidth optimization, cybersecurity, and technology adoption dynamics.

Recent Publications highlight trends in broadband pricing innovation (2012-2014), social media analysis, network optimization, and smart grid economics. These works emphasize interdisciplinary methodologies and real-world applications.
