معرفی
Professor George A. Souliotis holds a position at the Department of Chemistry of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He specializes in Physical Chemistry with a focus on nuclear reaction mechanisms, production of exotic nuclei, and nuclear fission processes. His research explores heavy/superheavy elements and applications in proton therapy. He has published extensively on topics including symmetry energy, isospin dynamics, and rare isotope production through peripheral collisions.
Education: B.Sc. in Chemistry (University of Athens, 1986), Ph.D. in Chemical Physics (Michigan State University, 1992). Teaching responsibilities include undergraduate courses on Nuclear Chemistry and graduate seminars on advanced nuclear topics.
Research Interests:
- Nuclear reaction mechanisms at intermediate energies
- Production and study of neutron-rich nuclei
- Equation of state for asymmetric nuclear matter
- Applications of rare isotopes in medicine and astrophysics
His publications (over 70 papers) focus on experimental and theoretical studies of nuclear fragmentation, isoscaling phenomena, and symmetry energy effects. Collaborations include international teams at Texas A&M Cyclotron Institute and FAUST-QTS detector projects.
