Sotirios Kokosis

Sotirios Kokosis is a Teaching and Research Associate at the Department of Information Technology and Computers, School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) since the 2021-22 academic year. He holds a Diploma in Electrical & Computer Engineering from NTUA (1992) and a Doctor of Engineering from the same institution (2016). Prior to his academic role, he served as a permanent teacher in secondary education (2004-2021) and worked as an engineer in the INTRACOM Group and APTRONIC HELAS S.A., focusing on military-grade power electronics and firmware development.

His research interests span automated control systems firmware, industrial automation, power electronics, and wireless energy transfer to medical implants. He teaches undergraduate courses including Programming Techniques, Microprocessor Systems, Microprocessors Laboratory, VLSI Systems Design, and Embedded System Design.

His scholarly work emphasizes power electronics applications in medical devices and semiconductor device optimization. Recent publications analyze inductive charging systems for biomedical implants and SiC transistor performance in high-frequency applications.
