Sophie Roux

Sophie Roux is a Professor in the Department of Philosophy at École Normale Supérieure (ENS), Paris, specializing in the history and philosophy of science and modern philosophy. She is affiliated with the Mathesis team of La République des savoirs at ENS and has been hosted by institutions such as the Wissenschaftskolleg zu Berlin (2021-22) and the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science (MPIWG). Her research explores the mechanization of natural philosophy, Cartesianism, and thought experiments, often through collaborative projects and collective research notebooks.
