Dr. Sophea Heng is a Research Fellow in the Department of Health and Biomedical Sciences at RMIT University. Her research focuses on molecular mechanisms regulating endometrial receptivity and embryo implantation, with implications for fertility treatment. Current supervision projects include studies on endometrial epithelial cells and trophoblast differentiation. She holds an ORCID identifier (0000-0001-9570-8746) and is based at the Bundoora West campus.
- Key Research Areas: Reproductive biology, molecular biology of implantation, microRNA regulation
- Supervision: Molecular understanding of endometrial cells (2024), Trophoblast differentiation (2022)
Her work investigates proteins like podocalyxin and hormonal pathways (e.g., progesterone) affecting endometrial function. Findings have clinical relevance for improving IVF success rates and understanding implantation failure mechanisms.
