Sonny Li

Sonny Li is an Associate Lecturer at the University of New South Wales, where he completed both his undergraduate and doctoral studies. His academic work centers on cognitive psychology with specific expertise in human memory and language systems.

His educational background includes:

• Bachelor of Psychology (Honours Class 1), University of New South Wales, 2011
• PhD, University of New South Wales, 2016

Dr Li's research investigates fundamental cognitive processes, particularly how lexical information is processed and stored in episodic memory frameworks. His work bridges theoretical models with empirical validation in language-cognition interactions.

He serves as Course Coordinator for Research Methods 3 (PSYC3001) and Multivariate Data Analysis (PSYC3371), while teaching core courses including Language & Cognition (PSYC3311) and Perception & Cognition (PSYC2071).
