Dr. Sonja Stuedli is a Research Academic at the School of Engineering, University of Newcastle, Australia. Her research focuses on smart grid operations, networked systems, multi-agent systems, and distributed control. She holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Newcastle (2016), and degrees from ETH Zurich (BSc Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, 2008; MSc Mechanical Engineering, 2011).
Her work emphasizes scalable control algorithms for multi-agent networks, wind energy systems, and resilience in networked systems. She has contributed to over 30 peer-reviewed publications and co-authored a book on electric vehicle networks. Dr. Stuedli leads the Robustness, Resilience and Security of Networked Dynamic Systems grant (2019–2021), focusing on enhancing system reliability through advanced control techniques.
Her recent publications highlight advancements in consensus networks, plug-and-play systems, and wind turbine stability. She has supervised one PhD student and collaborates with experts in control theory and renewable energy.
