Sonja Sperber

Dr. Sonja Sperber is an Assistant Professor and Ottillinger Habilitation Fellow at the Institute for Strategy, Technology and Organization, Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU Vienna). She holds a cumulative habilitation in Business Administration, focusing on gender's role in management and entrepreneurship. Her academic journey includes a Diplom in European Economics from the University of Bamberg (Germany) and the University of Alicante (Spain), and a Dr. rer. pol. from Bamberg, focusing on top management's influence on innovation in fashion industries.

Previously, she led the BA program 'Global Brand and Fashion Management' at ISM International School of Management and served as a Lecturer and Program Director at Newcastle University London. Her research emphasizes strategic leadership, top management's impact on innovation, and gender factors in organizations. Her work appears in top journals like the European Journal of Information Systems and European Management Review. She serves as Associate Editor for European Management Review and Guest Editor for European Management Journal. She is a member of Diana International Research Institute (Babson College) and ENGAGE.EU Think Tank, addressing gender inequalities.

Her accolades include the EURAM 2017 Best Paper Award and ISM's Research Prize. She has taught at institutions across Germany, the UK, France, and Hungary, demonstrating her international academic engagement.
