Dr. Sonja Priebus is a postdoctoral researcher at the Chair of European Studies, European University Viadrina (Faculty of Social and Cultural Sciences). Her work focuses on democratic backsliding in EU member states, particularly Hungary and Poland, and the EU's institutional responses including rule of law instruments under Art. 7 TEU and conditionality mechanisms.
