Sonia Wisdom

Sonia Wisdom, Ph.D., M.S.N., R.N., serves as Program Director for the BSN program and Assistant Professor in Nursing at Nova Southeastern University's Ron and Kathy Assaf College of Nursing. Her academic career spans multiple institutions and roles in both education and clinical leadership.

• Education: Ph.D. (University of Phoenix, 2020), Post-graduate Certificate in Nursing Administration (University of North Carolina, 2009), M.S.N. in Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (Barry University, 2007), Certificate in Nursing Education (University of the West Indies, 1991), BSN (University of the West Indies, 1990)

Dr. Wisdom's research focuses on spirituality in nursing, with future plans to explore nursing leadership extensively. Her clinical expertise includes critical care nursing and acute care nurse practice.

As an educator, she has taught medical-surgical courses, genetics, and research at both BSN and MSN levels. She also coordinates clinical placements and collaborates with healthcare facilities to ensure student training opportunities.
