Sonia Jarczyk

Sonia Jarczyk serves as a Lecturer at the Faculty of Architecture, Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, where she has worked as an assistant to Dr. Filip Ludka at the Furniture Design Studio since 2023. She co-leads the Basics of Private Interior Design course, contributing to architectural education with practical design expertise.

Her academic foundation was established at the same institution, graduating from the Faculty of Architecture in 2021 after defending her diploma thesis at the Furniture Design Studio. Her thesis project—modular furniture for van conversions—achieved significant recognition through its award-winning status.

Her creative practice centers on Furniture Design, Interior Design, and Modular Design, emphasizing functional adaptability for unconventional living spaces. This focus is demonstrated through her exhibited works at major Polish design events including Gdynia Design Days (2023), National Forum of Music in Wrocław (2023), and Fair of Beautiful Things in Warsaw (2023).

Her notable achievement includes winning the Elle Decoration Młodzi na Start competition for her innovative thesis project, highlighting her early-career impact in the design field.

Professionally, she bridges academic instruction with industry practice, having previously developed private interior and furniture designs in Krakow architectural offices. Her teaching integrates real-world experience into studio-based pedagogy within the Furniture Design Studio.
