Her research focuses on labor studies, social reproduction, and informal economy, with a critical lens on how class, caste, race, and gender intersect to shape labor movements. She conducts comparative analyses of paid domestic work in India and South Africa, examining labor rights mobilization, state policies, and the roles of trade unions and NGOs. Her work spans political economy, urban sociology, and gendered labor dynamics.
Her publications address topics such as NGO-trade union relations, neoliberal urbanism, class hegemony, and migrant women’s labor mobility. Articles in Critical Sociology, South Asian History and Culture, and Economic and Political Weekly reflect her expertise in comparative labor analysis and social inequality.
