Sofiana-Iulia Lindemann is an Associate Professor in the Department of Theoretical and Applied Linguistics at the Faculty of Letters, University of Technology of Bucharest. Her research focuses on issues at the semantics/pragmatics interface, reference resolution, dependency formation, and cross-linguistic phenomena. She has published extensively on topics such as accessibility theory, indefinites in discourse, and diachronic developments in Romanian syntax.
Her academic contributions span theoretical linguistics, applied linguistics, and educational technology. Notable works include a 2024 Oxford Bibliography entry on accessibility theory and a 2018 monograph on differential object marking in Romanian. Lindemann also explores innovative teaching methods, as evidenced by her 2020 publication on E-Learning implementation.
Her research bridges formal linguistic analysis with practical applications, emphasizing cross-linguistic comparisons and historical language evolution. She holds a PhD and has taught at the university level, contributing to both academic and pedagogical advancements in linguistics.
