Sofia Valeonti

Sofia Valeonti is Assistant Professor of Economics at American University of Paris, specializing in monetary policy history. Her research examines 19th century US economic development through monetary policy debates.

Current work investigates monetary policies affecting emancipated slaves during Reconstruction. She reconstructs historical monetary architectures through theoretical frameworks and archival analysis.
