Sofia Heim is a Doctoral Research Fellow at the University of Oslo, affiliated with the Department of Philosophy, Classics, History of Art and Ideas within the Faculty of Humanities. Her research focuses on archaic Greek poetry, papyrology, and spatial figures in ancient literature. She investigates how poets like Pindar, Simonides, and Bacchylides used peripheral figures and geography to construct literary landscapes.
Heim holds BAs in Russian Studies and Classics, an MA in Classics, and is pursuing a PhD in Classics. She has served as deputy on the Board of IFIKK and contributed to the ERC project DEChriM. Her work includes publishing papyrus editions and maintaining digital archives at the Oslo University Library.

- Research interests include Hyperboreans in victory odes, colonial period motifs, and philological analysis of ancient texts.
Her presentations explore topics like spatial imagery in Epinician odes and methodologies in papyrology. She actively engages in interdisciplinary projects bridging classical philology and digital humanities.
