Professor Tarek Sobh is the President and Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Lawrence Technological University (LTU), Michigan. He also holds the title of Distinguished Professor and Dean of Engineering Emeritus at the University of Bridgeport, where he served in multiple leadership roles including Executive Vice President, Provost, and Dean of Engineering. His career spans decades of academic leadership, research innovation, and educational advancement.

He has made significant contributions to interdisciplinary research through the founding of the RISC Laboratory and several innovation centers. His work bridges theoretical advances with practical applications in manufacturing, sensing, and intelligent systems.
Dr. Sobh has secured over 60 research grants and published extensively with more than 275 refereed papers and 27 books. His scholarly output reflects strong trends in robotics, intelligent control, and engineering education, with increasing emphasis on AI integration and online learning platforms.

His leadership extends to founding the CTech IncUBator and the UB Innovation Center, fostering technology transfer and entrepreneurship.
