Slobodan Simic is a Professor of Mathematics at San Jose State University (SJSU), affiliated with the Department of Mathematics and Statistics in the College of Science. He serves as Director of CAMCOS (Center for Applied Mathematics, Computation, and Statistics). Simic holds a PhD from UC Berkeley (1995) and previously taught at the University of Illinois at Chicago, USC, and UC Berkeley before joining SJSU in 2004. His research focuses on dynamical systems, sub-Riemannian geometry, and global analysis, with additional work in applied fields like control theory and quantum computing.
