Sivagini Ganesh

Dr. Sivagini Ganesh is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine and Medical Director of the Lung Transplant Program at Keck Medical Center of USC. She specializes in Pulmonary Critical Care, Pulmonology, and Lung Transplant Surgery. Dr. Ganesh earned her MD from the University of Jaffna and completed a fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine. Her clinical and research interests focus on lung transplantation outcomes, pulmonary hypertension, and dermatological complications in transplant recipients.

Dr. Ganesh has received recognition for her teaching excellence, including the Teacher of the Year Award from the USC Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine in 2010 and 2011. Her research explores innovative technologies like telemedicine to improve post-transplant care and investigates age-related mechanisms in pulmonary fibrosis. She has published extensively on skin cancer risks among transplant patients and the epidemiology of dermatological conditions in immunosuppressed populations.

Her work bridges clinical practice and academic medicine, emphasizing patient-centered care and advancing knowledge in critical care, transplantation, and rare disease management. Dr. Ganesh contributes to Keck Medicine’s multidisciplinary teams in lung transplantation and serves as an educator for the next generation of physicians.
