Siri Agnete Schwabe

Siri Agnete Schwabe serves as a Teaching Associate Professor at the SAXO-Institute within the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Copenhagen. Her academic career spans multiple Scandinavian institutions including Stockholm University and Roskilde University where she has taught since 2015 across ethnology, anthropology, and interdisciplinary social sciences.

Her primary research focuses on memories and atmospheres as both mundane and political phenomena, explored through ethnographic fieldwork in Scandinavian countries and Chile. Schwabe investigates transnational political engagement, urban development, and increasingly examines human-environment relations with specific attention to people's relationships with extreme weather caused by climate change. Her work bridges sensory studies, political anthropology, and urban studies through innovative methodological approaches.

Her publication record demonstrates consistent scholarly output with recent works examining atmospheric politics in urban settings, transnational memory connections between Chile and Palestine, and the sensory dimensions of climate change.
