Siobhan K McMahon

Siobhan K McMahon is an Associate Professor in the School of Nursing at the University of Minnesota, specializing in gerontological nursing research with a focus on improving health outcomes for older adults. Her work spans multiple research projects and publications addressing critical issues in geriatric care and prevention of age-related health complications.

Dr. McMahon's research expertise centers on:

Recent work focuses on innovative approaches to fall prevention, including the STRIDE model for primary care and the Balance4Mobility study examining Walkasins technology for individuals with peripheral neuropathy.

She is also a key contributor to the Minnesota Northstar Geriatrics Workforce Enhancement Program (2024-2029) and previously contributed to the ECHO National Nursing Home COVID-19 Action Network (2020-2021). Actively mentoring future researchers, she is currently accepting PhD students into her research programs.
