Simone Torresin

Simone Torresin is a Researcher (RTD-A) in the Department of Civil, Environmental and Mechanical Engineering at the University of Trento. His research focuses on indoor soundscape modeling, architectural acoustics, and multi-domain studies of environmental quality.

His work develops new approaches to acoustic comfort in building design, particularly in naturally ventilated spaces. Recent investigations examine the relationship between acoustic environments, human perception, and physiological responses using virtual reality technologies.

Torresin has received multiple awards including the Best PhD award at DICAM and the Highly Commended John Connell Soundscape Award. He serves on editorial boards for several journals in environmental acoustics and building performance.
