Simone Marullo is a Tutor and PhD student in Computer Science & Engineering at the University of Siena, where he also completed his Bachelor's and Master's degrees. He actively contributes to the Siena Artificial Intelligence Lab (SAILAB) and serves as a teaching tutor for Mathematical Analysis and Fundamentals of Computer Science courses.
His educational background includes a Bachelor of Computer Science & Engineering (110/110 cum laude, 2018) and a Master of Computer Science & Engineering (in progress) from the University of Siena, preceded by a Scientific High School Diploma (100/100) from G. Marconi Scientific High School. His research spans Artificial Intelligence, Computer Engineering, History, and Philosophy, with a focus on engineering's intersection with human historical context.
Marullo received the Pietro Torasso Prize 2018 from the Italian Association for Artificial Intelligence for his "DeepHarvest" project promoting AI public engagement. He presented "Internet of Chickens" at Maker Faire Rome (2018) and "Human Screen" at Siena Artificial Intelligence Lab (2019) and Ital-IA 2019. In 2020, he secured PhD scholarships at the Universities of Siena, Pisa, and Florence.
His teaching materials cover advanced calculus topics including multivariable limits, function extrema, Dini's theorem, function series convergence, and multiple integrals using coordinate transformations.
