Simone Martino Sciacca is a Research Fellow at the Department of Humanities (DISUM) of the University of Catania. He obtained his Bachelor's Degree in European, Euro-American and Oriental Languages and Cultures (L-11) and later earned a Master's Degree in Comparative Languages and Literatures (LM-37) with the highest honors (110/110 cum laude) in 2023.

His research project "Edition and Study of the Paratexts of Spanish Epic-Chivalric Poems (16th and 17th Centuries)" focuses on analyzing editorial, legal, and socio-literary paratexts of Spanish chivalric poems. The project employs Digital Humanities tools like Visone and Gephi to visualize social networks between literary agents. Funded by the 2022 PNRR PRIN research grant, it represents an interdisciplinary approach combining literary analysis with network mapping.

As a Research Fellow, Sciacca contributes to creating a digital catalog of Spanish epic chivalric poems while investigating historical relationships between patrons and literary producers during the Renaissance period.
