Simone Kucher is a playwright, prose writer, and educator affiliated with the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Rostock since 2021, where she teaches Szenisches Schreiben. She has also been instructing Creative Writing at the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences since 2012. Her work spans theatre plays, radio dramas, and literary fiction, exploring themes such as gender, narrative form, and contemporary performance. Key achievements include the 2022 Berliner Senat literature grant and invitations to prestigious festivals like the Berliner Theatertreffen and Autorentheatertagen. Notable works include the play Nach dem Essen (premiering in 2023/24) and radio plays for WDR3 such as playgrounds (2019) and Der Stimme ihren Ort zurück (2015).
