Simone Bertoli is a Professor of Economics at CERDI (Centre d'Études et de Recherches sur le Développement International) within Université Clermont Auvergne since September 2016. Previously, he held a joint CNRS chair as an Assistant Professor at the University of Auvergne starting 2011, following roles at IAB and European University Institute (EUI). He obtained his Ph.D. in Development Economics from the University of Florence in 2007.
