Simon Trudel

Dr. Simon Trudel is an Assistant Professor at the University of Calgary's Department of Chemistry, jointly appointed to the Nanoscience Program and a founding member of the Centre for Advanced Solar Materials. He leads a nanomaterials-focused research group investigating structure-property relationships in nanoscale materials, particularly magnetic and catalytic properties of nanoarchitectures.

• Amorphous metal oxide electrocatalysts for water oxidation
• Synthesis of nanostructured materials via photochemical and electron-beam methods

His group explores applications in clean energy, spintronics, and biomedical imaging.
