Simon Preis

Simon Preis is a Professor at the Weiden Business School of OTH Amberg-Weiden, serving as Chair of the Examination Committee for the WEBIS Faculty and member of the Faculty Council. His academic focus centers on Business Informatics with specialization in Data Management and Quantitative Techniques.

His research spans Data Management Frameworks and Strategies (including Trustworthy AI implementation), Application Concepts for Data Technologies (notably Machine Learning in customs management systems), and Green IT & Operational Excellence (with emphasis on energy data analysis systems). He actively explores AI applications in knowledge-based systems, LLM prototyping, and digital business model innovation through platforms like Digital Twins.
