Simon Carrington is Professor of Timpani at the Royal Academy of Music in London. A distinguished orchestral musician, he previously served as principal timpanist for the London Symphony Orchestra and London Philharmonic Orchestra.
His pedagogical work includes masterclasses worldwide and coaching for prestigious youth orchestras including the National Youth Orchestra and European Union Youth Orchestra.
