Simon Burke

Dr Simon Burke is a Lecturer at the University of Sydney's School of Arts and Social Sciences, specializing in pre-modern religious and philosophical texts of Syriac and Arabic heritage. His research focuses on Syriac and Arabic literary traditions, particularly within the Church of the East and Syriac Orthodox Church contexts. He has collaborated with Emeritus Professor Rifaat Ebied on editions of Syriac and Arabic texts, including works by Cyril of Alexandria and Dionysius bar Ṣalībī.
