Simon A. Cole is a Professor at the University of California, Irvine, affiliated with the Department of Criminology, Law and Society and the School of Social Ecology. He earned his Ph.D. from Cornell University and holds a secondary affiliation with the Department of History. His research focuses on the sociology of forensic science, biometric technologies, and the intersection of science, technology, and law.
