Silvia Rossetti is an Associate Professor in Urban Planning at the Department of Engineering and Architecture of the University of Parma, Italy. She lectures on "Urban and Sustainable Planning" and "City, Landscape and Regional Analyses." Her academic journey includes a PhD in "Places and Times of the City and Territory" from the University of Brescia (2014) and a diploma in GIS from the Polytechnic of Milan.

Her research focuses on leveraging Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for urban analysis, integrating planning with sustainable mobility, and enhancing urban accessibility and road safety. She coordinates the national PRIN project "MOVING StEPS" and participates in European initiatives like SOL and ROSEE. Her work emphasizes adaptive planning solutions informed by data-driven approaches.
Recent publications highlight methodological frameworks for accessible cities, smart mobility protocols, and rural infrastructure analysis. She has authored over 90 publications and serves as a reviewer for major international journals.
