Silvestre Pinho is a Professor in Mechanics of Composites at the Department of Aeronautics, Faculty of Engineering, Imperial College London. His research focuses on analytical and numerical modeling of composite failure, bio-inspired microstructures, and sustainable aviation. He is affiliated with the European Society for Composite Materials, Royal Aeronautical Society Structures & Materials Specialist Committee, and the International Community for Composite Materials.
