Silja Samerski

Prof. Silja Samerski is a faculty member in the Department of Social Work and Health (SAG) at Emden/Leer University of Applied Sciences. Her research focuses on the intersection of digitalization, health literacy, and feminist science and technology studies, examining sociotechnical practices in healthcare systems, surveillance technologies, and participatory health research. She actively explores the ethical and social implications of digital health tools, genetic counseling, and technologies shaping patient empowerment.
