Sili Zhang is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU), Germany. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics (Summa Cum Laude) from the University of Zurich (2022), an M.Phil. from Tilburg University (2016), and a B.Sc. in Statistics from Renmin University of China (2014). Her research bridges behavioral economics and psychology, focusing on how perceptions, narratives, and values shape economic decisions. She is affiliated with the CESifo Research Network and the CRC TRR 190 Collaborative Research Center on Rationality and Competition.
Her work integrates applied theory, experiments, and surveys. Recent grants include LMUexcellent Junior Development Research Funds (2024) and ECON Director’s Grants (2021). Teaching evaluations at LMU include a 1.1 score (Winter 2023) for Microeconomics I. She actively participates in conferences like ERINN2024 and organizes seminars at LMU. Professional activities include refereeing for European Economic Review and Experimental Economics.
Research visits include Carnegie Mellon University (2019) and the University of Amsterdam (2022).
