Sigrunn Tvedten

Sigrunn Tvedten serves as Assistant Professor in the Department of Business, History and Social Sciences at the School of Business, University of South-Eastern Norway (USN), based at Campus Vestfold. She manages the Bachelor Program in Sociology while teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Sociology and Social Sciences across USN's academic programs.

Her research critically examines educational governance structures, systemic social inequality, inclusion/exclusion mechanisms, and the sociology of quantification. She investigates how datafication and metric-driven practices shape educational hierarchies and reinforce durable inequalities in childhood experiences and schooling systems, with particular focus on organizational dynamics within welfare states.

Dr. Tvedten actively supervises bachelor's and master's theses while contributing to significant research initiatives:
