Sidney M. Boquiren is a Research Fellow in the field of Music, known for their Andrew W. Mellon Postdoctoral Fellowship in the Humanities during 2003–2004. Research interests center on the relationship between music and faith, examining how aural experiences can convey sacred and spiritual notions outside traditional liturgical contexts. This project investigates tensions between individual and institutional belief systems, using musical composition as a catalyst to critically reconsider the synergistic dynamics of music and spirituality.
