Sicco Santema is a Professor of Business to Business Marketing at the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering, Delft University of Technology. With expertise in Marketing and Supply Management, he focuses on customer/supplier integrated design, lean supply chain cooperation, and aviation industry innovations (passenger, crew, and luggage journeys). He also emphasizes entrepreneurship and supplier-integrated design in his teaching.
Research Interests include systemic approaches to aviation resilience, business model innovation, and dynamic design capabilities. His recent publications analyze pandemic preparedness in airports, service innovation in OEM ecosystems, and strategic transformation in turbulent times, reflecting interdisciplinary applications of design thinking to complex systems.
Scientific Awards: Finalist for Best Paper Award at ASME Design Engineering and Design Education Conference (2022).
Secondary Employment includes board membership at Rabobank Utrechtse Heuvelrug, shareholder in aircraft parts company AELS, and startup Calender 42.
