Sibel Somyurek

Prof. Dr. Sibel Somyurek is a distinguished academic at Gazi Faculty of Education, Department of Computer and Instructional Technologies Education, Gazi University. With a career spanning over two decades, she has held roles including Professor (2020–present), Associate Professor (2015–2020), Postdoctoral Researcher at the School of Computing and Information, University of Pittsburgh (2014–2015), and Instructor (2009–2015). Her work focuses on adaptive hypermedia, student modeling, and recommendation systems in educational contexts.

She collaborates on TÜBİTAK, MEB, and European Union projects.

Scientific awards include Fulbright and TÜBİTAK postdoctoral scholarships, multiple Gazi University citation awards, and TÜBA/TÜBİTAK international publication incentives. She has advised over 10 graduate theses and contributed to 15+ international and national journals.
