Sibbe Bakker is a Researcher and Teacher in the Department of Biology at Utrecht University, Faculty of Science, within the Biodynamics and Biocomplexity research group, specializing in Bioinformatics.
His research focuses on Applied Data Science, Integrative Bioinformatics, and Life Sciences, with strong expertise in the R programming language for data analysis in biological contexts.
He is actively involved in promoting bioinformatics education and tools, notably through organizing a bioinformatics interest group at the University of Zambia to advance the use of R in research and education.
