Siavash Pourkamalli

Siavash Pourkamalli is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at The University of Texas at Dallas, affiliated with the Erik Jonsson School of Engineering and Computer Science. He holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Tech (2006), an MS from the same institution (2004), and a BS from Sharif University of Technology (2001). His research focuses on integrated silicon-based MEMS/NEMS systems, micromachining, and nanofabrication technologies, with applications in RF resonators, chemical/biological sensing, and solar energy solutions through the UTexas MicroneX Lab.

His laboratory emphasizes micro/nano-electromechanical device design, fabrication, and packaging, exploring innovations like resonant nanobalances and batch nanofabrication robotics. Current opportunities exist for students and researchers to join his team in advancing these technologies.
