Sian Rees

Dr. Sian Rees is a scholar and performance-maker at Wimbledon College of Arts, University of the Arts London, where she leads the MA Performance: Theatre Making and MA Performance: Politics and Social Justice programs. She completed an AHRC-funded Practice as Research Ph.D. at Goldsmiths College, focusing on theatrical dissent in public spaces.

Her research explores protest aesthetics, ensemble collaboration methodologies, and autobiographical performance. Current projects include developing a monograph on performance and dissent and creating audio-based artworks. Rees employs experimental pedagogies emphasizing play, critical inquiry, and practice-based experimentation.
