Shyam Drury is a Lecturer at the University of Notre Dame Australia's School of Education (Fremantle Campus), specializing in mathematics education with over 20 years of teaching experience across primary, secondary, and tertiary levels. Prior to his 2023 appointment, he served as a mathematics teaching consultant, translating research into practice through award-winning programs like the Alcoa Maths Enrichment Program (AMEP).
His research examines mathematics teaching anxiety in primary educators (current PhD focus), STEM integration, and inquiry-based learning. Recent publications analyze problem-solving pedagogies and cross-disciplinary approaches in science/mathematics education.
