Dr. Shuying Wu is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Aerospace, Mechanical and Mechatronic Engineering, The University of Sydney. She holds a BEng and MEng from Hefei University of Technology (HFUT) and a PhD from Deakin University. Her career includes roles at RMIT University (Research Fellow, 2014–2017), UNSW (DECRA Fellow, 2017–2018), and Macquarie University (Senior Lecturer, 2018–2023) before joining the University of Sydney. Dr. Wu is affiliated with the University of Sydney Nano Institute and collaborates with the Centre for Advanced Materials Technology.
Her research focuses on multifunctional polymer nanocomposites, flexible sensors, piezoelectric energy harvesting, and advanced composites. Key themes include biomedical engineering and materials science. Notable awards include the ARC Research Hub for Connected Sensors (2022–2026) and an ARC DECRA Fellowship (2017–2020).
