Shuvo Roy is a Professor in the Department of Bioengineering and Therapeutic Sciences, a joint department of the UCSF Schools of Pharmacy and Medicine. He directs the Biodesign Laboratory and serves as Technical Director of The Kidney Project, a pioneering initiative developing implantable bioartificial kidneys. Roy co-founded the UCSF-Stanford Pediatric Device Consortium and leads the UCSF-UC Berkeley Master of Translational Medicine program. His research leverages MEMS, nanotechnology, and biomaterials to create medical devices addressing renal failure, diabetes, and cardiovascular monitoring.
