Shubin Yang is a Lecturer in Economics at Westminster Business School, University of Westminster since 2022. Previously, she held a Lecturer position at Central China Normal University. She holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Nottingham and MSc/BSc in Economics from Huazhong University of Science and Technology. She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Her research focuses on empirical studies in international trade and development economics, particularly examining trade-productivity linkages, financing sources, and firm-level export/innovation decisions. Recent work explores AI’s dual impact on corporate green innovation quantity and quality, China’s regional industrial redistribution and carbon emissions, and India’s technological catch-up strategies.
